While MADD has cut drunk driving deaths by half since 1982, drunk driving is still the leading threat on our roadways. As part of our Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving and in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, MADD partnered with law enforcement agencies nationwide for high-visibility crackdowns. On August 24, MADD employees and volunteers joined 262 law enforcement agencies across 18 states to conduct sobriety checkpoints. Click here to learn more about Saturation Saturday.
