Honoring Gloria Garvey with a Gift to MADD Hawaii
Gloria Garvey was recently honored at MADD Hawaiiʻs 40th Anniversary celebration for her tireless dedication and volunteer leadership. She and Brook Gramann were founders and partners of two companies, The Brand Strategy Group and later Lanikai Bath and Body. The Brand Strategy Group was vital to MADD Hawaiiʻs early years in creating public awareness of the importance of saving lives and ending impaired driving while also fostering media relations and communications.
Sadly, after a long illness, Gloria passed away this April, leaving behind a legacy of community service and an endless number of people who deeply miss her warmth, charisma, and charm. Gloriaʻs husband, Mark Hanington, has generously chosen to honor Gloria and all she accomplished with a gift of $10,000 to MADD Hawaii. For Gloria, MADD Hawaii was a vital non-profit making a tremendously positive difference by serving victims’ families, providing educational outreach, partnering with law enforcement, and working to make the community a safer place for all.
MADD Hawaii is grateful for Gloria’s lasting impact and for Mark’s generous gift which enables MADD Hawaii to sustain its mission.
