Rocks To Honor Those We’ve Lost
The date is fast approaching for our first ever Virtual Walk Like MADD Richmond! Though this year, due to the global pandemic, we are not having the actual gather-and-Walk-together as we have in the past, you can still register, build your team, and raise money to help us #EndDrunkDriving in Virginia (register and donate via the Walk Like MADD Richmond page).
As we lead up to April 4, we will be posting some fun interactive activities, and relevant information on how the Walk will proceed this year over on our MADD Virginia Facebook page, so be sure to follow us to stay up to date, and get some great ideas for how to stay involved!
Today, we want to focus on the very heart of the Walk: those loved ones we’ve lost.
As we approach April 4, paint a rock(s) with the name of an impaired driving Victim, and on the back put the hashtag #wlmrva2020. Place the rock in your neighborhood, or wherever you are going in these stay at home times, so others can find the rock. It keeps that Victim in the forefront and if the finder searches the Facebook hashtag #wlmrva2020, they will learn about Virtual Walk Like MADD Richmond!
Here are some examples of the rocks painted for last year’s Walk! Be sure to post a picture, and tag us as you paint and place yours this year!
