Congratulations to MADD’s own Ron Replogle

Heartiest congratulations to our MADD Hero, National Law Enforcement Initiatives Manager Ron Replogle, for receiving the esteemed Martha Irwin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Highway Safety, Law Enforcement Category at the 2017 The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Annual International Conference in San Francisco, California, on August 23, 2017. This award is presented to a distinguished individual in recognition of his or her commitment and accomplishments in highway safety over the course of his or her career.

“I am extremely grateful to AAMVA for giving me this prestigious Martha Irwin Award,” said Replogle, “I am glad to have been a part of improving traffic safety throughout my career and look forward to continue helping make our roadways safer with MADD.”

Colonel Replogl e served and protected the people of Missouri as a trooper from 1984 until he retired in 2015. He served as Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol from 2010 to 2015. During his tenure, statewide fatality totals decreased by 7 percent and MADD named the Missouri State Highway Patrol as its 2010 Outstanding Enforcement Agency.

“All of us at MADD are so proud that Ron received this well-deserved honor from AAMVA for contributing to highways safety all these years,” said MADD CEO Debbie Weir. “Working with law enforcement to prevent drunk and drugged driving crashes is one of the most important areas that Ron directly contributes to every day.”

Ron served on the MADD National Board of Directors from 2015 to 2016 before accepting his current role as the MADD National Law Enforcement Initiatives Manager. Replogle also served on the AAMVA International Board of Directors from 2011 to 2015.

“Retired Colonel Ronald Replogle has been a leader in highway safety over his distinguished career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol,” said AAMVA President and CEO, Anne Ferro. “His passion and dedication to reducing injuries and fatalities on the roads is what makes him such a deserving candidate for the Martha Irwin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Highway Safety.”
