Take the #MADDWorld Challenge

We are living in a #MADDWorld with social distancing becoming the new normal as we band together (separately) to help stop the spread of COVID-19. As the world is turning to video conferencing and FaceTime to stay connected to family, friends and co-workers, we are launching a social media campaign to encourage online audiences to share a glimpse of their #MADDWorld by posting a photo or video of what this new normal looks like in each of their homes. It’s important for all of us to find a way to adapt while embracing the challenges of these unprecedented times. Many at home are juggling remote work assignments, home schooling and rowdy pets all living in close quarters. This is giving rise to conference calls with appearances from guest “colleagues”, new fashion trends like business on top and PJ’s on bottom, interesting “office” backgrounds and virtual social gatherings.

This campaign is way to encourage you to take a light-hearted approach and show us your #MADDWorld. But we also hope this campaign provides an outlet to talk about how MADD is adapting to provide critical prevention programs and victim services online. MADD is still here. We will be here after the chaos and we will still be fighting for a future of #NoMoreVictims.

Take the #MADDWorld challenge! Here’s how:

  1. Show us your #MADDWorld: Share a photo or video glimpse into your #MADDWorld on social media with a link to the donation page, https://madd.org/MADDWorld
  2. Tag five people in your post asking them to join you in the #MADDWorld challenge.
  3. Donate $10 to MADD.

Your donation (and those of your connections) is essential to ensuring we continue to be able to provide free victims services, as well as awareness, and education about the very serious topics of impaired driving and underage drinking.

Take a glimpse into our #MADDWorld and get some inspiration to show us yours! (Also look below for the photo overlay, some tips for creating your photo, and sample wording to use in your post.)

Typing the #MADDWorld hashtag onto your photo using your smart phone: Many smartphones have an option built into the camera/photo features that allow you to add text to photos.
