MADD Honors Victims with Butterfly Release

On July 14th, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Georgia honored lives lost and lives impacted by drunk and drugged driving at the Colquitt County Justice Center in Moultrie, GA for the MADD South Georgia Vigil and Butterfly Release.

 

Gary Robinson, MADD South Georgia Community Action Site Leader, welcomed attendees to the event.

 

Shermaine Johnson, MADD Georgia Victim Services Specialist, provided the audience with a beautiful invocation, and MADD Georgia Manager of Victim Services, Shannon Duffey, led the butterfly release ceremony.

Those in attendance were provided with an envelope including a butterfly that they were able to release during the ceremony.

Sheriff Donald Whitaker of the Worth County Sheriff’s Office provided remarks. Chief Assistant District Attorney J.D. Hart of the Tift Judicial Circuit also addressed the crowd.
