Walk Like MADD Columbia 2019 Presented by Yarborough Applegate and Uber Review

Thank you to everyone who came out on March 23rd to support Mothers Against Drunk Driving South Carolina for Walk Like MADD Columbia 2019 Presented by Yarborough Applegate and Uber. We had a wonderful turnout, which helped us to exceed our $35,000 goal for the year! In fact, we crossed the $44,000 mark for the first time. Thank you to everyone who donated and to the teams for working hard to reach your own personal goals!

We also can share that DUI enforcement took place in many part of the state that night in support of the Walk. There was enforcement, and many DUI arrests we were told about!, in York, Red Bank, Charleston and Berkeley Counties, and all over the lower part of the state in places like Hampton, Estill, Ridgeland, and Hardeeville.

The victim tribute at our 6th annual Columbia Walk saw the launch of “MADD SC Rocks” where rocks decorated with MADD’s messages or victims’ names were given out for people to take back to hide in their communities. We’re hoping those hiding rocks and finding rocks will post pictures to the MADD SC Rocks Facebook page so we can follow for months where these rocks go. Everyone seemed to love this idea, so we’re excited to see it continue.
