Tie One on For Safety® at Macy’s Lenox Square: December 2nd
On Saturday, December 2nd, from 1:00-3:00pm, visit Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) – Georgia at Macy’s – Lenox Square in Atlanta as part of MADD’s Tie One on For Safety®Campaign this holiday season.
Started in 1986, Tie One On For Safety® is MADD’s longest running and most visible public awareness project. The name comes from the phrase “tie one on,” which is slang for drinking alcohol. At MADD, we use the phrase to remind everyone that drinking and driving don’t mix.
Some of the most dangerous days of the year on our nation’s roadways are between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. In 2016, 891 people were killed in drunk driving crashes during this time frame. These crashes accounted for 26 percent of total traffic fatalities nationwide during that time.
Ralph Lauren has partnered with MADD Georgia for this event to spread the commitment for a safe ride home.
Light refreshments will be provided.
