   NEWSLETTER: APRIL, 2022

April is Alcohol Awareness Month and the kickoff for MADD’s PowerTalk 21 Initiative

Did you know that there were 6,624 alcohol related crashes, 272 alcohol related fatalities and 22 alcohol related teen driver fatalities (age 15-20) in Virginia in 2020?  (Source: VA DMV).

We know that at least one study has shown that underage drinking is associated with problematic drinking and driving as an adult. Get informed! Check out this VA DMV Teen Driver Safety FAQ on the VA DMV website.  And check out these Parent and Teen resources on MADD’s website.
