Website: September 7, 2017 Florida Highway Patrol 10041 Daniels Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33913, USA MADD SWFL presents the third annual Law Enforcement Training Seminars. This year, we are sponsoring two (2) training seminars. Interested Law Enforcement Officers can register for one (1) or both of the seminars. All training seminars are free of charge. Coffee, continental breakfast, snacks and full lunch will be provided. Space is limited for both training seminars. Registration is first come, first serve. DUI TRIAL PREP, SEPTEMBER 7, 2017, INSTRUCTOR: VIN PETTY, FLORIDA HIGHWAY SAFETY RESOURCE PROSECUTOR This training seminar will be an in-depth presentation on witness credibility, DUI charging, traffic stops and initiating the DUI investigation, effective use of in-car video, defendents statements, breath/uring/blood testing and report writing. This training is intended for all Law Enforcement Offiers who are interested in increasing their knowledge of DUI case law. SEATED BATTERY COURSE - A CERTIFICATED COURSE, SEPTEMBER 8, 2017, INSTRUCTOR: CORPORAL DAN DARREN, COLLIER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE & MADD ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER In this course, the student will learn the validation studies for the seated battery of SFSE, learn how to administer the exercises and become proficient in conducting investigations while using the Seated Battery. These exercises are a great alternative to NHTSA Standardized FSE. This allows an effective and validated set of exercises for those who have medical conditions that prevent walking and balancing.
