In Honor Of...

In Honor of Jacy Mackenzie Chavis

Jacy was only 26 years old and was killed by a drunk driver on her way to get her son ice cream and her a coffee on the night of Saturday September 20, 2025. The other driver was driving on a suspended license and crossed the center line while intoxicated. Less than four months earlier he was charged with driving under suspension, failing to stop for a red light, and driving without insurance.
My daughter was the regional office manager for Hospice and was within months of receiving her Master's degree. She was a single mother to her three old son who was her entire world. She loved him so much.
Jacy was well known in the community for helping others. She loved unconditional and without restrictions.
She was the youngest of my three daughters. Her death affected her sister Caitlyn so tremendously that she too passed away just nineteen days later from Broken heart syndrome after suffering from a heart attack at the age of 30 and the mother of three children.
There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you and Caitlyn. I miss you both so much.
