Matthew Bretz
Matthew Bretz is a Kansas native. He received a B.S. from Kansas State University and started teaching classical and contemporary physics there by the age of 20. He then went to law school at Pepperdine University in California. After graduation he handled aviation and catastrophic injury cases from around the world at Engstrom Lipscomb and Lack, the law firm of Erin Brockovich, The Twilight Zone, and Delta Force II fame.
After practicing in Los Angeles, Mr. Bretz moved back to his hometown and started serving the people of Kansas over 25 years ago. Since then, Bretz Injury Law has recovered over $300 Million for their injured clients. That means our clients get their medical bills paid, get lost wages reimbursed, and have their futures protected.
Mr. Bretz represents those who have been seriously injured in car, truck and motorcycle crashes caused by drunk and drugged drivers, by distracted drivers, and by otherwise dangerous drivers.
Mr. Bretz’ service goes beyond the local community. He is passionate about drunk and drugged driving prevention and serves on the National Board of Directors for MADD. He also volunteers time and has served on the Board of Directors for United Way, the American Red Cross, and the Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson.
Mr. Bretz and his wife, Amy, have been married 29 years. They have two compassionate and driven daughters, Lauren and Hannah. Lauren has a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and is in her first year of law school at the University of Kansas. Hannah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, and is in her second year of law school at Brooklyn Law School in New York.
