Mothers Against Drunk Driving Appoints New Advisory Board Chair in SWFL
September 20, 2018, Fort Myers, Florida: Mr. Tom Marquardt, owner of Platinum PEO Resources, has been appointed Advisory Board Chairperson of the local chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Mr. Marquardt has been an integral part of MADD since 2016 when he joined the organizing committee for Walk Like MADD & 5K; growing the signature awareness and fundraising event by 50% year over year.
Mr. Marquardt is also known as “The Profit Repairman” for Platinum Inc. of Fort Myers and the founder of an app aptly named “I’m Drunk” with a goal to end drunk driving in just two clicks. As the Chairperson of the Advisory Board, Mr. Marquardt’s goal is to continue to grow volunteer and financial capacity so that MADD’s free services and programs can continue to develop in Southwest Florida.
The local MADD Advisory Board is a crucial part of increasing and strengthening MADD’s outreach and capacity in the community. It’s goal is to accomplish a shared vision to stop drunk driving, fight drugged driving, serve the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.
If you want to learn more about becoming a local MADD Advisory Board member or volunteer, please contact [email protected] or call (239)791-7560.

About Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Founded in 1980 by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking. MADD has helped to save more than 350,000 lives, reduce drunk driving deaths by more than 50 percent and promote designating a non-drinking driver. MADD’s Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving® calls for law enforcement support, ignition interlocks for all offenders and advanced vehicle technology. MADD has provided supportive services to nearly one million drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge through local victim advocates and the 24-Hour Victim Help Line 1-877-MADD-HELP.
