So You Are Going To A MADD VIP…Here is What You Need To Know!

We are looking forward to being back in-person with you all at MADD Victim Impact Panels. With this return to in-person meetings comes new rules to follow to keep both you and our MADD Staff and Volunteers safe, as well as follow all regulations set forth by both the state and our facilities.

Social Distancing Will Be Enforced. Please know that we will be doing our best to set the room to place appropriate distance between attendees. As you wait to check-in or pick up your receipt, we ask you to distance yourself from others in line and follow all instructions of the panel staff. Please be patient with our staff and volunteers as there may be longer wait times due to the extra screening and distance needed during the process. This also means we will need to cap our registrations to ensure we do not exceed the capacity limitations. We are currently requiring you to register prior to the panel online to ensure your spot. If you cannot get into an in-person panel we suggest using the online panel option.

Masks Will Be Required. Please respect those attending the panel with you by arriving in your mask and maintaining your face covering throughout the panel. All attendees, staff, and volunteers will be asked to wear masks at all times.

Health Screen. You will be asked to submit to a health screen prior to entering the facility. This protects both our staff and the facilities kind enough to let us use their spaces. This screen consists of verbal questions and a temperature check. If you fail the screen for any reason, you will be asked to leave and you will be contacted to schedule a later panel date or access the online panel option at an additional cost.

We ask for you to contact the MADD Nebraska State Office to reschedule if you are registered to attend a panel and have had close contact with anyone who is either confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19, in the last 15 days, including anyone who is experiencing or displaying any of the known symptoms of COVID-19. Or if you have tested positive or are awaiting the results for COVID-19 in the last 15 days.

MADD thanks you for your patience as we navigate this new normal. We are passionate about the information shared at these panels and know the life-changing experience they can be. While it is our hope to return to full capacity in-person panels as soon as we can the health and safety of all involved is our priority. We continue to have the option to take the online panel at any time at www.online.maddvip.org. These panels are excellent and allow those who cannot physically be in a panel to still get the amazing information.

If you have any questions at all about the MADD Victim Impact Panels or the current panel situation and guidelines, we ask you to call the MADD Nebraska State Office at (402) 434-5330 or email [email protected].
