MADD staff and volunteers \u2014 while maintaining a safe distance \u2014 participate in law enforcement roll calls, checkpoints and ride alongs to reinforce enforcement activities.<\/p><p>In North Texas many police departments participated.<\/p><ol type=\"1\"><li>Denton PD<\/li><li>Cedar Hill PD<\/li><li>DFW Airport PD<\/li><li>Idalou PD<\/li><li>Grand Prairie PD<\/li><li>Dallas PD<\/li><li>Dallas County Sheriff\u2019s Dept.<\/li><li>Irving PD<\/li><li>Southlake PD<\/li><li>Carrollton PD<\/li><li>Grapevine PD<\/li><li>Hurst PD<\/li><li>Mesquite PD<\/li><li>Sansom Park PD<\/li><li>Mansfield PD<\/li><li>Richardson PD<\/li><li>North Richland Hills PD<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-c4c0cb5 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"c4c0cb5\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-55fbf2d\" data-id=\"55fbf2d\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc56044 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cc56044\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>[blogcontent width=&#8217;100&#8242;]Our participation in the MADD 2020 Saturation Saturday DWI initiative was a success. The 8 officers and myself accounted for 54 traffic stops between 2200 hrs Saturday night and 0400 hrs Sunday morning. Those stops results in 5 DWI arrests and 1 Parole Revocation (Family Violence) arrest. Idalou Police Department apprehended 2 impaired drivers. Of the two that were arrested both refused to provide breath specimens. Lab results are pending. Idalou PD had a successful night of DWI enforcement and hopes to participate in future events with MADD.<\/p><p>GPPD made 6 DWI arrests that night. Irving PD made 10 DWI arrests. Thank you to all of our participating police departments.
