DESCRIPTION:MADD Tennessee offers Online Victim/Survivor Support Groups for impaired driving victims whose crash was in Tennessee\, or whose crash was elsewhere\, but they live in Tennessee\, and they live too far away to attend our in-person support group in Nashville. \nThe online support group is a time of open sharing – though no one will ever be forced to share! Please join us as we grow as a community who supports one another deeply. \nThis month’s topic will be:\nSpiritual Issues:  How has faith helped you in the grieving process and how has it hindered your grief journey?  Discuss anger issues towards God/Higher Power and how you are working on that anger. \n \nThe dates for August 2019 are as follows: \nAugust 20\, 2019 at 6pm CT for those in the Western Half of the state – Contact Kara Lonsway\, Victims Support Specialist at kara.lonsway@madd.org (or 615-360-8055 x4755) to RSVP and obtain instructions to join. \nAugust 12\, 2019 at 6pm ET for those in the Eastern Half of the state – Contact Jami Wilson\, Victims Support Specialist at jami.wilson@madd.org (or 615-360-8055 x4756) to RSVP and obtain instructions to join. \n  \nIf you are unsure which one to attend\, contact a Victims Support Specialist who will be happy to assist you. \n  \nNote: This meeting is a VICTIM Support Group intended to provide emotional support to those who have been negatively impacted by a drunk or drugged driving crash. It is NOT a meeting for DUI offenders (those who have been charged\, arrested\, or convicted of DUI or similar charges.) The class MADD offers for DUI offenders who have been court ordered to attend a class\, is called a Victim Impact Panel (VIP). You can click here to register online and/or find information regarding dates\, times\, and locations for MADD VIP classes across the state.
