SUMMARY:East TN June 2019 MADD Victims Survivors Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Impaired driving victims and survivors are invited to the East Tennessee MADD Victims and Survivors Support Group. The group will meet on Monday\, June 10\, from 6pm-7:00pm. \nThis month’s topic will be:\nExperiences with the Criminal Justice System: Re-Victimization and coping strategies for those victims currently going through the criminal process \nThe support group is a time of open sharing – though no one will ever be forced to share! Please join us as we grow as a community who supports one another deeply. \nFeel free to invite any others you feel may benefit from attending. \nContact Jami Wilson at jami.wilson@madd.org (or 615-360-8055 x4756) to RSVP and request location details. \nLight snacks will be provided. \nNote: This meeting is a VICTIM Support Group intended to provide emotional support to those who have been negatively impacted by a drunk or drugged driving crash. It is NOT a meeting for DUI offenders (those who have been charged\, arrested\, or convicted of DUI or similar charges.) The class MADD offers for DUI offenders who have been court ordered to attend a class\, is called a Victim Impact Panel (VIP). You can click here to register online and/or find information regarding dates\, times\, and locations for MADD VIP classes across the state.
