Former NFL Defensive Back Adrian Colbert Joins MADD Sports Advisory Board

(Irving, Tx, October 28, 2024) — Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is proud to announce that former NFL defensive back Adrian Colbert, who played for the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers and is the founder of the On the Links, a golf entertainment community and experience that drives connection with every swing, has joined the MADD Sports Advisory Board. Colbert brings his passion for community service, commitment to student-athletes, and advocacy to help further MADD’s mission to end impaired driving and support victims of this violent crime.

Colbert, known for his leadership on and off the field, will collaborate with MADD’s Sports Advisory Board to promote mental wellness, personal accountability, and ending impaired driving, especially within sports communities. His platform as founder and host of On the Links, which explores the connection between athletes and mental wellness, will also play a pivotal role in MADD’s efforts to address the mental health factors that can contribute to impaired driving.

“We are thrilled to welcome Adrian Colbert to the MADD Sports Advisory Board,” said Stacey Stewart, CEO of MADD. “His dedication to his athletic career shows his commitment to using his influence for positive change. Adrian’s experience and passion will strengthen our outreach in sports communities and among student-athletes.”

The MADD Sports Advisory Board works with professional and student-athletes, fans, and sports organizations to foster a culture of responsibility and prevention. With Colbert’s addition, MADD aims to enhance its prevention programs for athletes and promote the importance of making safe, healthy choices—both on and off the field.

In his new role, Colbert will contribute to MADD’s ongoing efforts to prevent impaired driving and protect communities nationwide. His unique perspective as a former NFL player and media personality will help amplify MADD’s message and drive home the importance of accountability, especially in high-profile industries like professional sports.

“I’m honored to be a part of the MADD Sports Advisory Board and to help bring awareness to such a critical cause,” said Adrian Colbert. “As athletes, we have a platform that can influence lives, and I’m excited to use my voice to support MADD’s mission of saving lives and creating safer communities.”
