Day to day life, as we knew it, is forever altered. Experiencing the traumatic and sudden death of a loved one due to a senseless DUI crash is that life altering event. There is no way to prepare for this type of loss, but work can be done to heal. Part of the healing process is grieving. Although grieving is very much a private, complicated, and individual journey, there is a shared experience to the grieving process as well.<\/p>\n<p>MADD believes that victim\/survivor support groups are an essential part of the healing journey. Support groups allow for a safe, non-judgmental environment to share intimate thoughts and feelings. Participants gain insight, strength, and support from one another.
