Unfortunately, fatalities resulting from accidents involving alcohol-impaired drivers have become so predictable that many state highway patrol departments, such as Texas, now issue fatality estimates, which usually prove to be all too accurate.<\/p>\n

During the holidays, the number of travelers on the road peaks as friends come together to celebrate and students return home from college. As a result of holiday parties and gatherings, more drivers are impaired by alcohol too. But the the holidays are now over and drunk driving is still prevalent. Although we see a spike in numbers of drunk driving over the holidays, this is a year round issue and lives have already been lost only two weeks into the new year. With the Superbowl, Valentine’s Day and a plethora of other holidays on our heels, it’s safe to say the parties where there is alcohol being served is not null and void now that new Year’s has come and gone.<\/p>\n

Take an Uber or a cab or call a friend,\u201d Brad says. \u201cThere is never an excuse to get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol.\u201d<\/p>\n
