2024 Year In Review
Message from the Executive Director:
Dear MADD Nevada Family,
As I write to you today, my heart is full of hope and determination. Taking on the role of Regional Executive Director for MADD Nevada has been nothing short of inspiring. Our work in Nevada reached new heights in 2024. The expansion of our prevention staff has not only increased our reach and impact but also directly benefited our community. Furthermore, we are thrilled to offer victim services in Spanish, ensuring broader accessibility and support for our community.
Our first-ever proclamation at the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, marking an important milestone in our mission. Equally, the second annual Walk Like MADD in Las Vegas was a resounding success, demonstrating the community’s unwavering commitment to our cause. The event not only raised awareness but also crucial funds to end drunk driving and fight drugged driving. With every step taken and each dollar raised, walkers supported MADD’s lifesaving mission in Nevada to keep our families and communities safe.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge that Nevada continues to see lives lost and families devastated due to impairment behind the wheel. In the face of these ongoing challenges, MADD remains steadfast in its mission. We are not anti-drinking; instead, we advocate for responsible drinking and firmly stand against drinking and driving. Our mission emphasizes the importance of making safe choices. Together, we can work towards preventing these tragic and 100% preventable crashes.
We have made incredible strides together, and I look forward to continuing our impactful journey.
Warm regards,
Flor Bernal, Regional Executive Director
