SUMMARY:Victims Visitors' Day
DESCRIPTION:Mothers Against Drunk Driving – Georgia (MADD Georgia) will be present at Victims Visitors’ Day in honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week on Wednesday\, April 11th and Thursday\, April 12th. The Georgia Office of Victim Services and the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit Victim-Witness Assistance Program will host the event at the Georgia Piedmont Technical College Conference Center in Clarkston\, GA.\nVictims Visitors’ Day is an opportunity for families whose offender(s) are incarcerated or on Community Supervision (probation/parole) to discuss their offender’s case confidentially with representatives of the Department of Corrections\, the State Board of Pardons and Paroles\, and the Department of Community Supervision. MADD Staff will be present to accompany victim families to these meetings.\nVictims Visitors’ Day allows crime victims and/or family members to have a voice in the process if their offender is currently in prison or on Community Supervision.\nVisitors are able to take advantage of the following services:\n\n\nReceive current information on offender\, including maximum release data\, parole date and where inmate is incarcerated\n\n\nRegister to receive future notifications of the offender’s status\n\n\nSubmit Victim Impact Statements\n\n\nReceive Victim Services Information\n\n\nLearn how to navigate the websites of the Department of Corrections\, the State Board of Pardons and Paroles\, and the Department of Community Supervision\n\n\nPlease see below for more information\, courtesy of the Georgia Office of Victim Services: \n  \n \n \n  \n \n  \n \nIf you or someone you love is a victim or survivor of a drunk or drugged driving crash\, help is always available through MADD’s 24-Hour Victim Helpline: 877-MADD-HELP.\n  \nFor more information about the Georgia Office of Victim Services\, click here.
