Coalition 45 is a nationwide coalition, created by Gen Z and for Gen Z. Led by MADD National President Tess Rowland, in collaboration with 45 youth representatives from around the country they will work to educate, prevent, and save lives from impaired driving crashes in their communities.
We know that every 45 minutes someone dies in a drunk-driving crash and 25–34-year-olds have both the highest driver deaths and the highest percentage among age groups. Coalition 45 members will spark the urgency around the fact that 100% of preventable deaths related to drunk and impaired driving occur in the U.S. every 45 minutes.
Tess Rowland will be crisscrossing the country and meeting with youth-focused nonprofit organizations and teenage activists to talk about the dangers of impaired driving. In every city she visits, she will aim to recruit at least one new youth coalition member until she has 45 representatives from different regions across the country.
