Hello, my name is Hailey and I am 21 years old. At the age of 20, my life had changed drastically in a way that would never have crossed my mind before. I was involved in a car crash, losing my best friend and a close friend of ours after a night full of laughter, making me the only survivor of this incident. As I am still healing slowly from my injuries, I have been affected not only physically but emotionally and mentally. The pain and scars that I have gained from this incident that I look at and endure every day will never let me forget what I went through, what I’ve lost, and who I’ve lost. Although I am still here, not only living for myself, I try to live for my friends who are no longer here. My life will never be the same, and my heart is heavy for my friends’ families.
