My Name is...

Edward Robert Peach

In 1978 , my brother Edward was only 17 years old when a 28 year old driver who was drunk hit him head on. Edward was killed instantly which left my mother, sisters, and I devastated. Our family is not the same because a part of us was taken away and we will never get that piece of ourselves back. His death changed our lives forever.
Edward was a quiet, creative, and smart young man who loved to laugh. He was a kind , thoughtful spirit, and gave to others whenever he could. He would always smile and show compassion toward others. Edward was a lot of fun to be around and enjoyed people. He was getting ready to graduate from high school and attend the University of Rhode Island for a degree in photography. He took beautiful pictures of people, nature, and animals. His creative and loving light is now gone forever.
Our dad died from Melanoma two months prior to Edward’s death. Edward, as well as my sisters, and I supported our mom through her grief and listened to each other as we grieved too. None of us had any idea we would also soon lose our brother. My brother was supposed to walk me down the isle in October but that was not to be. He was killed February 2, 1979 by a stranger to us and to him.
. It’s been more than 40 years since Edward was killed. It still hurts tremendously because Edward was ripped out of our lives. He now lives in the spiritual
world and his legacy will always be his loving
nature and kindness to others.
