Memorial Sign Program

MADD Colorado Memorial Sign Program

In 1994, MADD piloted a Memorial Sign Program in Boulder County.  The Memorial Sign Program commemorates those that have been killed in crashes involving a drunken or drugged driver.  The program soon expanded to include Jefferson County, the City and County of Denver, the City of Aurora, Edgewater and Westminster.  Because of the success of the program in these cities and counties, we approached the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) in hopes of creating a similar program on our state's highways and roads.  The CDOT program has been in place since 1996 and continues to flourish.  We now have programs in the City of Lakewood, Douglas County, Adams County, and the City of Northglenn.

On a daily basis, innocent people are injured and killed by drivers under the influence.  Please help heighten the awareness of our nation's problem in honor of your loved one.

If you are interested in obtaining information or an application or a sign please contact:

If the city or county where your crash occurred is not listed above, we will do what we can to induct a program in that city as well.
