This fun, family walk helps to raise funds and awareness for MADD programs and services that make our communities safer. In most locations, the event includes a health and safety fair, kid's zone, survivor area, tribute area and much more both before and after the walk. The funds Walk Like MADD raises enable us to provide a wide range of programs to stop drunk driving and underage drinking as well as to provide much needed victim services to those who have been tragically touched by drunk driving.
Steps Everyone Can Take
Walk Like MADD is a non-competitive, 5K walk that everyone can join. No matter where you live, what your physical condition or how busy your schedule, you can make a difference! Whether you’re pounding the pavement or taking a “virtual walk” online, you can take action to improve the health and safety of your community.
Our virtual walkers participate in Walk Like MADD without breaking a sweat. If you can’t join one of our walks, you can be a virtual walker from anywhere. You can even start your own team! Click here to learn more about becoming a virtual walker.
Getting Going is Easy
Walkers and their supporters are the keys to success for Walk Like MADD – and participation is fun and rewarding. You can sign up to become a walker with just a few keystrokes at www.walklikemadd.org.
Register as an individual or as part of a team that can include family, friends, co-workers, classmates, neighbors and even your dog! Simply select "Form a New Team", name your team and personalize your team page with a story and a photograph.
Once you’ve registered, we’ll create a personal page for you on the Walk Like MADD Web site that friends and family can visit to make pledges for your walk. You can personalize the page with your picture and customize the typeface and color by visiting the participant center.
